I am grateful for my life

Lastnight I was finding myself thinking about all of the things in my life I wish I could change or improve. Every once in a while I lose my positive attitude and negativity gets the best of me. Instead of dwelling on all of the things that I wasn’t happy about, I started to write down things I was truly grateful for.

I am grateful for my blankets that keep me warm as the season changes and it becomes colder outside! I am grateful for my beautiful sister who wakes me up occasionally with coffee in bed, or a simple compliment to tell me I’m beautiful and she loves me. I am grateful that we are close and that we bond as sisters and best friends.

I am grateful for my family and friends and that I know they will always be there for me whenever I need them and I am grateful that I am able to be there for them too. I am grateful for my job that helps me to afford nice things and a luxurious lifestyle, I am also grateful for spell check that helped me spell that word!

I am grateful for my body and that I am able to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am grateful that I can afford to eat healthy balanced meals and nourish my body with lots of vitamins and nutrients regularly. I am grateful that each day I can appreciate this body that god has given me and I love who I am inside and out.

Find your balance!

I love my new bedside lamp!! Each night before bed it reminds me to find my balance.

As I find my balance and I am in harmony with my world, everything just seems to fall into place. And I am mastering the tasks at hand quickly and easily!

Apple Pie without cheese, is like a hug without a squeeze

Last night I went searching high and low for some sugar/candy, whatever I could find. Luckily I don’t buy it and just don’t keep it in the house because I could have eaten an entire row of cookies, or a bag of sugar coated gummy bears. Instead this is what I did

All you need is

  • 1 apple (preferably local, and a gala apple is my favourite)
  • 1 Tsp of cinnamon

I didn`t peel my apple because the best nutrients and fibre are in the skin, but if you`d like, you can peel it. I chopped my apple into small pieces, sprinkled the cinnamon on top and in a microwave safe bowl, put it into the microwave for 2 minutes.

And voila, sugar craving gone.

You will not be disappointed if you decide to try this! Enjoy with some frozen yogurt, or low fat cheese!
